Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evaristo da Fonseca started the match with the kick off. Luiz Paulo Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Fernandão Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Augusto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo da Fonseca in the 13th minute of the match. Evaristo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Itamorotinga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo da Fonseca came free, but José Augusto Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Itaporanga were furious when Pedro Luís de Andrade was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Itaporanga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Itamorotinga EC:s goal. The referee gave Itamorotinga EC a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cássio Cardoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Itaporanga's Gilson Arruda. 1-0. After 26 minutes of play, Itamorotinga EC's Fernandão Moreira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilson Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Augusto Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amauri Dante went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Itamorotinga EC booed when Itaporanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, Itaporanga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Dante to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Amauri Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaporanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amauri Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandão Moreira was the one to do the kick off. If Fernandão Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Itaporanga's Eliézer Senna got a free kick in the 57th minute. Fernandão Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gilson Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandão Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Arruda having to interfere. When Fernandão Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Itamorotinga EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandão Moreira couldn't finish the play. If Arlindo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Itamorotinga EC's Fernandão Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilson Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandão Moreira in the 88th minute of play forced Itaporanga's goalkeeper Gilson Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Fernandão Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaporanga's Gilson Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Augusto Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Silveira in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Itamorotinga EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
