E. C. Fernandes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Só Canela F.C's Jardel Berger in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E. C. Fernandes's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Só Canela F.C's Edmundo Brito got a free kick in the 20th minute. Nicolas Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th play minute Albertinho Lago came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joélson Dracena. 1-1. Albertinho Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joélson Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. José Pedro Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Nicolas Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. André Luiz Sabóia's late challenge caught a Só Canela F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luiz Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Só Canela F.C booed when E. C. Fernandes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Berger in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Luiz Fernando Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E. C. Fernandes and the Só Canela F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Luiz Fernando Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugênio Carioca hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, E. C. Fernandes's Olívio Azevedo got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Carioca to make the kick off. Jardel Berger took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Nascimento. Nicolas Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Só Canela F.C's Luís Guilherme Severo got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to E. C. Fernandes getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Olívio Azevedo hit a great ball. Nicolas Nascimento was a little too slow when José Pedro Barral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-3. Albertinho Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Joélson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Breckenfeld placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Manoel Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. In the 95th minute Armandinho Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Só Canela F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than E. C. Fernandes.
