After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Sydney Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gira EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredão de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sydney Sabóia scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredão de Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Ortiz in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredão de Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredão de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute, Chicão Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Leandro Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Chicão Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Charles Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chicão Lara came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pirapemas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Lara couldn't finish the play. André Luís de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Gira EC's Amauri Trigo got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to Gira EC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. André Luís de Azevedo hit a great ball. Chicão Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Trancoso having to interfere. Henrique Ortiz succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Charles Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Lara in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirapemas's goalkeeper Alfredão de Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
