Alfredo Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Pinho in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Bitumirim EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 19thth minute of the game Caio Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bitumirim EC's Alfredo Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jefferson Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Artur Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Caio Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batatais's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batatais's Caio Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caio Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Artur Novaes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bitumirim EC's Alfredo Senna. Alfredo Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Rogério Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Pinho's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caio Pinho made a kick off. Batatais's Artur Novaes managed to work through Bitumirim EC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Artur Novaes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Caio Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alfredo Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Batatais's Rui Freitas got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Válter Leal came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Bitumirim EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válter Leal couldn't finish the play. Artur Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Senna having to interfere. When Caio Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Batatais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Pinho couldn't finish the play. If Caio Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alfredo Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Novaes in the 85th minute. Horácio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Senna having to interfere. Paulão Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Batatais players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
