Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sebastião Cabral started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sebastião Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Zanette. In the 5th minute of the match Narciso Moraes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Baptista skillfully saved the ball. When Álvaro Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Correntina's protests and gave Álvaro Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Diamantino Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Nuno Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sérgio da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastião Cabral in the 16th minute. Cipriano Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Diamantino Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Fernando Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Baptista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Albuquerque's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Sebastião Cabral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Sérgio da Silveira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 28th minute, Gualter Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Albuquerque scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Paulo Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Nico Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio da Silveira skillfully saved the ball. Álvaro Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Nuno Urbano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 47 minutes into the game, Sebastião Cabral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sérgio da Silveira. Sebastião Cabral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Gomes was the one to do the kick off. Nuno Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sérgio da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Sebastião Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ligeiro F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Nuno Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Correntina's Sérgio da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Urbano in the 73rd minute of play. Sérgio da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ligeiro F.C's Diamantino Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Gomes in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Sebastião Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ligeiro F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Carlos Fernando Albuquerque's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Diamantino Baptista firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sérgio da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Correntina's Sérgio da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Urbano in the 91st minute of play. Nuno Urbano took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio da Silveira. Sérgio da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ligeiro F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
