A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Vem que é duro's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Rocha came free, but Fernando de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Mário Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando de Souza. Vem que é duro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 41st match minute, PALMEIRAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Recife to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Vinhas made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Augusto Martins got free with Fernando de Souza in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henrique Donatello came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Vem que é duro's Frédson Vinhas. But to his dismay, Frédson Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fernando de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. João Augusto Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando de Souza having to interfere. Henrique Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Vinhas in the 68th minute of the match. If João Augusto Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kaká Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vem que é duro's protests and gave Kaká Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Kaká Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Norberto Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Wilson Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Vem que é duro's Wilian de Toledo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mário Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
