Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Adalberto dos Santos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Aílton de Carvalho hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Caruauba's zone, Carlos Fernando Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Dias came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, Caruauba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Zé Pedro Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adalberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Fernando Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Pedro Rosado hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Caruauba's Falcão Falcão got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes, Nova Juv EC's Acácio Alagoano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Pedro Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Juv EC reached it. If Carlos Fernando Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo Favoretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nildo Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Caruauba's Nildo Favoretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Adalberto dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Nova Juv EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Hílton Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vivaldo Lago in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Nova Juv EC's goalkeeper Hílton Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo de Medeiros. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nildo Favoretto made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Juv EC's goalkeeper Hílton Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nildo Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes Nova Juv EC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Negri. Hílton Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Hílton Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Favoretto in the 61st minute of the match. Nildo Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hílton Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Nildo Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Pedro Dias made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Carlos Fernando Vaz sent off a good shot on target. Zé Pedro Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes, Nildo Favoretto made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Juv EC's Hílton Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aílton de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Oliveira having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Lago in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Oliveira saved Nova Juv EC from getting behind. Vivaldo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Nova Juv EC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Osvaldinho Negri hit a great ball. The supporters of Nova Juv EC booed when Caruauba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Lago took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Oliveira. Hílton Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Caruauba's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
