The supporters of Miriri booed when Hollywood Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Gerson Xavier from a close distance when the talented Paulo Koehler managed to make a qualified save. Hollywood Esporte Clube's players were relieved. If Gerson Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimir Tepedino made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Hollywood Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Lima to maneuver through the defense. Gerson Xavier took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Koehler. Paulo Koehler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ronaldão Pernambucano hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Guedes in the 68th minute of play forced Miriri's goalkeeper Toninho Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natanael Pimenta in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 96 minutes, Gerson Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miriri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
