Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jacruaru's Elivélton Tinoco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arí Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Coutinho in the 4th minute of play. When Dé Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JEDI's protests and gave Dé Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, JEDI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Moraes to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, JEDI's goal looked a bit too open when Dário de Queirós came free, but Carlinhos Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Laerte Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JEDI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacruaru the free kick. 23 minutes into the match, Jacruaru's goalkeeper Arí Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Paulo Negri. In the 28th minute, Caetano Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Caetano Coutinho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arí Prestes. The goal made the score 1-0. Caetano Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arí Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Paulo Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Prestes having to interfere. In the 41st minute, JEDI's Caetano Coutinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 47 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JEDI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacruaru the free kick. Tarcisio Bastos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano Coutinho to make the kick off. Luís Eduardo Mendes's late challenge caught a Jacruaru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Eduardo Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes JEDI got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Mendes. After 54 played minutes Jacruaru got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Guedes. Carlinhos Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Tinoco in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute Caetano Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. José Vítor Rocha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of JEDI booed when Jacruaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cícero Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cícero Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Jacruaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Guedes to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match José Vítor Rocha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arí Prestes skillfully saved the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Caetano Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacruaru's Arí Prestes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Caetano Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, JEDI's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Tinoco came free, but Carlinhos Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Elivélton Tinoco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Jacruaru's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Dário de Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. JEDI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
