The supporters of Guidoval AD booed when Submarino Amarelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Lourenço Antunes put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Pitta. In the 11th match minute, Guidoval AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto das Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Gualter Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lourenço Antunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Luís Pitta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lourenço Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lourenço Antunes took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Pitta. Luís Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Patrício Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match Luisinho Arantes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franklin Maranhense skillfully saved the ball. Submarino Amarelo's Lourenço Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonsinho Donato struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Luís Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Submarino Amarelo. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lourenço Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Guidoval AD's Humberto das Neves got a free kick in the 51st minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Lourenço Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Submarino Amarelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Submarino Amarelo's Franklin Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Submarino Amarelo from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Guidoval AD getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marcos Novaes hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Guidoval AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Luís Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Patrício Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Antunes in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute Renatinho Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Submarino Amarelo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
