Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jonas Nascimento made the kick off and thus started the match. Alexsandro Rossi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Luís Pitta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jonas Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Pitta came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonas Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alexsandro Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. ABA SOCCER CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 19 minutes, Alexsandro Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ABA SOCCER CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Carlinhos Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guidoval AD's protests and gave Carlinhos Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ABA SOCCER CLUB booed when Guidoval AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guidoval AD's zone, Jonas Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Pitta came out of the goal and Jonas Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st match minute, Guidoval AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Luís Pitta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexsandro Rossi in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Jorge Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guidoval AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Vides in the 47th minute of play forced ABA SOCCER CLUB's goalkeeper Hernani Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Renatinho Perez made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, ABA SOCCER CLUB's goalkeeper Hernani Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Vides. Guidoval AD's Jorge Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernani Guimarães was a little too slow when Jorge Vides got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 81st minute, Jonas Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
