Fabrício Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Vale in the 3rd minute of the match. Alfredão Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredão Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Fairy Tail was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amauri Faria in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 12 played minutes Fairy Tail got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Hoffmann. Fabrício Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Amauri Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrício Valadares was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Anselmo Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orizona EC's protests and gave Anselmo Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Orizona EC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Paulista. With a little luck, Orizona EC's Osmar Aparecido got control of the ball when Severino Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabrício Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Faria in the 31st minute of play. Ismael Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Orizona EC's Amauri Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Valadares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, José Vítor Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orizona EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fairy Tail the free kick. The supporters of Fairy Tail booed when Orizona EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Orizona EC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Paulista. Fabrício Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Faria in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Orizona EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Faria got free with Fabrício Valadares in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 62 minutes, Amauri Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orizona EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amauri Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orizona EC's Amauri Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fairy Tail booed when Orizona EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Orizona EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Rocha came free, but Osmar Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Severino Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Miguel Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Valadares having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Serafim de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orizona EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fairy Tail the free kick. Serafim de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Fabrício Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Fabrício Valadares had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Zé Pedro Velloso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Orizona EC's Miguel Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Jacinto during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Michel Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. A hard shot by Zé Pedro Velloso from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Fabrício Valadares's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Orizona EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
