Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Augusto Queirós started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo F.C's zone, Miguel Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Chaves came out of the goal and Miguel Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruy Chaves was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Amauri Faria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amauri Faria really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Amauri Faria fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orizona EC's protests and gave Amauri Faria a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Amauri Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Orizona EC's Serafim de Sena got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to São Paulo F.C getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ian Hoffmann hit a great ball. Orizona EC's Amauri Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Miguel Vale came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Orizona EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Vale couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Gilberto Oliveira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Orizona EC's Osmar Aparecido. Osmar Aparecido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Ruy Chaves managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Orizona EC's Amauri Faria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of São Paulo F.C booed when Orizona EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo F.C's Ruy Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo F.C from getting a goal against them. Ruy Chaves was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Amauri Faria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amauri Faria really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Amauri Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruy Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Vale in the 39th minute of play forced São Paulo F.C's goalkeeper Ruy Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Vale in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Chaves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the game, Laércio Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Paulo F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orizona EC the free kick. In the 46th match minute, São Paulo F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Baptista to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Ruy Chaves came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Orizona EC's Miguel Vale. But to his dismay, Miguel Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Osmar Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osmar Aparecido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Oliveira in the 62nd minute. Gilberto Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Aparecido having to interfere. Washington Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Orizona EC's Amauri Faria in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye São Paulo F.C's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Vale in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Chaves saved São Paulo F.C from getting behind. Miguel Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ruy Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amauri Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Miguel Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Faria came free, but Ruy Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orizona EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
