An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington de Moraes in the 3rd minute of play forced Gust F. C.'s goalkeeper Rafa do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Washington de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Esteves hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Gugu Velloso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gust F. C.'s Rafa do Nascimento. Rafa do Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Gust F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Washington de Moraes came free, but Rafa do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gust F. C.'s attentive Armando Cruz managed to snatch the ball when Zézinho Motta made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. A collision led to Gust F. C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Elano Catarinense hit a great ball. Gust F. C. were furious when Silvinho do Nascimento was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gust F. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! 43 minutes into the match, Hybrius FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Catarinense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Washington de Moraes to make the kick off. Gugu Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hybrius FC's Gugu Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafa do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington de Moraes in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Gust F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Arce to maneuver through the defense. Zézinho Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Elano Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gust F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elano Catarinense couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Washington de Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hybrius FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 79 minutes into the match, Gust F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Velloso came free, but Rafa do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hybrius FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Loureiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, Gust F. C.'s Geraldo Xavier made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geraldo Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Loureiro having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Gust F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Novaes. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gust F. C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
