Red Devils F.C.'s Vágner Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Tepedino in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Red Devils F.C.'s zone, Didi Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vágner Vidal came out of the goal and Didi Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Araújo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Afonso Paes sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Nacional Futebol Clube's Igor Araújo got control of the ball when Afonso Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Oswaldo Pires fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Devils F.C.'s protests and gave Oswaldo Pires a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nacional Futebol Clube booed when Red Devils F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Guilherme Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Red Devils F.C.'s Afonso Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Red Devils F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
