The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Celsinho Faustino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Celsinho Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Almeida in the 10th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Manuel Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Celsinho Faustino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Manuel Garcia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Corujas AD's Celsinho Faustino. Celsinho Faustino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Garcia in the 22nd minute of play forced Corujas AD's goalkeeper Celsinho Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Garcia in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Ronaldinho Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celsinho Faustino came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Beneficente's Fred Furtado. But to his dismay, Fred Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Sidney Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Manuel Garcia notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Corujas AD's Celsinho Faustino. Celsinho Faustino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 40 minutes, Luiz Fábio Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corujas AD and the Beneficente players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beneficente booed when Corujas AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexsandro Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Celsinho Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corujas AD's Celsinho Faustino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Garcia in the 46th minute of play. If Manuel Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Alexsandro Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Corujas AD's goalkeeper Celsinho Faustino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Garcia. Cauan Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute, Beneficente's Alexsandro Almeida ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celsinho Faustino. Celsinho Faustino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. With a little luck, Corujas AD's Celsinho Faustino got control of the ball when Manuel Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corujas AD's Celsinho Faustino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Corujas AD from getting a goal against them. Fellipe Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Severo in the 72nd minute of play. Luiz Fábio Fonseca hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Beneficente's Marcinho da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celsinho Faustino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Beneficente got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson da Mata. Celsinho Faustino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Garcia went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. If Alexsandro Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Alexsandro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beneficente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Corujas AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Beneficente were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
