Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Beneficente's Alexsandro Almeida started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Iauacana getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Vito do Nascimento hit a great ball. Marcinho da Costa, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Garcia in the 8th minute of play forced Iauacana's goalkeeper Anselmo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fellipe Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gláuber Massa sent off a good shot on target. When Gláuber Massa came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Iauacana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gláuber Massa couldn't finish the play. Gláuber Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Vito Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Almeida in the 22nd minute of the match. Gláuber Massa struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Fellipe Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iauacana. Anselmo Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Garcia in the 35th minute of play forced Iauacana's goalkeeper Anselmo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Beneficente's zone, Aluísio Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fellipe Loureiro came out of the goal and Aluísio Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gláuber Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gláuber Massa to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Gláuber Massa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fellipe Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caco Tróia during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Beneficente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iauacana:s goal. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Iauacana. Vito Prata stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fellipe Loureiro. 2-0. Fellipe Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gláuber Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Beneficente's Manuel Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 minutes, Allan Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iauacana and the Beneficente players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Iauacana got a freekick which was hit by Allan Alves. Beneficente's Marcinho da Costa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iauacana. A collision led to Beneficente getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alexsandro Almeida hit a great ball. Iauacana's Anselmo Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Iauacana from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Beneficente's Alexsandro Almeida dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Fellipe Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 93 played minutes Iauacana got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Lopes. 94 minutes into the match, Beneficente's Marcinho da Costa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Iauacana fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beneficente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
