Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Nogueira in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Cássio Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, GD Atlântico's Pedro Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moisés de Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 31 minutes, Juninho Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GD Atlântico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josué Saldanha was a little too slow when Adilson Catarinense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Nogueira to make the kick off. GD Atlântico's Josué Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Catarinense in the 64th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Longos got a freekick which was hit by Dito Soares. When Juninho Messias came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the GD Atlântico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Messias couldn't finish the play. Víktor Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of GD Atlântico booed when Longos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
