Oscar Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Catarinense in the 25th minute of the match. The nice shot from Arlindo Albuquerque in the 27thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Moisés de Queiroz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Adilson Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Arlindo Albuquerque left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cacal SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Longos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Christiano Bueno scored to the left of an out of position Moisés de Queiroz, making the score, 2-0. The Cacal SS fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Cacal SS's Christiano Bueno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 48th minute, Tadeu Gerber fired a really elegant long shot, but Moisés de Queiroz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adilson Catarinense made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Longos got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Leão. 57 minutes into the match, Longos's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Bueno came free, but Moisés de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Christiano Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacal SS's protests and gave Christiano Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. Moisés de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Albuquerque in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Bueno in the 71st minute of play forced Longos's goalkeeper Moisés de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Alexandre Pernambucano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moisés de Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Longos defense, Adalberto Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés de Queiroz. The Longos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Arlindo Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés de Queiroz having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Cássio Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Longos's Oscar Damião threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adilson Catarinense, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adalberto Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adalberto Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cacal SS fully deserved thier win.
