After a rather tough play, Amanhece's Mário Torres got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Amanhece's zone, Douglas Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulisses Pires came out of the goal and Douglas Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Moreira was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Adelino Moraes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulisses Pires saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Adelino Moraes took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ulisses Pires to make any attempt to save it. If Douglas Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Adelino Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
