The tension between the Corimbata and the MUNDIAL 51 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romário Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. When André Luís Maia came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the MUNDIAL 51 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luís Maia couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Corimbata's zone, Caetano Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Pinheiro came out of the goal and Caetano Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Romário Vieira could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Percival Pinheiro however easily saved by the left post. If Romário Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

54 minutes into the match, MUNDIAL 51's goalkeeper Enrique Aballe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Garcia. In the 55th minute Gernando Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Romário Vieira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Pinheiro. Corimbata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romário Vieira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernando Meirelles got free with Enrique Aballe in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo José Garcia scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Aballe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Falcão Lima hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Percival Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 88th minute, Romário Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Vieira in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percival Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gernando Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Enrique Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MUNDIAL 51's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Gernando Meirelles scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Aballe, making the score, 1-2. The MUNDIAL 51 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Corimbata to win.
