Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nilton Santos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vito Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Peixoto in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 10th minute Jean Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Ruelas FC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Cataguazes SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Luz took the corner. After a rather tough play, Cataguazes SC's Nilton Santos got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zé Ruelas FC's goalkeeper Emerson Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emerson Ramalho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nilton Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Cesinha Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emerson Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilton Santos in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Ramalho saved Zé Ruelas FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Zé Ruelas FC's Renan Munhoz got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Zé Augusto Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zé Ruelas FC's zone, Nilton Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Ramalho came out of the goal and Nilton Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Cesinha Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Zé Ruelas FC's Emerson Ramalho got control of the ball when Cesinha Dante tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zé Ruelas FC's Matheus Toscano got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Nilton Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cataguazes SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cesinha Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesinha Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarbas Silveira's late challenge caught a Zé Ruelas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilton Santos scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Cesinha Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97thth minute of the game Nilton Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zé Ruelas FC's Emerson Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cataguazes SC had played much better football throughout.
