Tales Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garajuba EC's Inácio Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tales Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldão da Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tales Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. If Wilson de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão da Fonseca having to interfere. Giovanni Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Fartura got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Catarinense. After having played for 22 minutes, Giovanni Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garajuba EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Meirelles in the 24th minute of play forced Fartura's goalkeeper Zézinho Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fartura's Zézinho Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Proença in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fartura's Wilson de Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldão da Fonseca. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Ronaldão da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Tales Veloso sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Meirelles in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zézinho Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Adelino Alves fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fartura's protests and gave Adelino Alves a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Fartura got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Alves. In the 48th minute, Wilson de Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Giovanni Proença made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Adelino Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Giovanni Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zézinho Terra was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Fartura's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Proença came free, but Zézinho Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson de Castro took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldão da Fonseca. Ronaldão da Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tales Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Fartura got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Catarinense. When Giovanni Proença came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Garajuba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni Proença couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Garajuba EC booed when Fartura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Rafa Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garajuba EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fartura the free kick. A collision led to Garajuba EC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Rafa Penha hit a great ball. Ronaldão da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson de Castro in the 90th minute of play. The referee showed Valério Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fartura booed when Garajuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Garajuba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson de Castro came free, but Ronaldão da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garajuba EC's Mateus Seco got a free kick in the 97th minute.
