Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Abel da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Dantas having to interfere. Christian Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Terra went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Duarte in the 16th minute of play forced Caibe's goalkeeper Christian Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Maringá's zone, Duda Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Dantas came out of the goal and Duda Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. André Luís Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luís Dantas came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Caibe's Duda Vieira. But to his dismay, Duda Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Vieira in the 34th minute of play forced Grêmio Maringá's goalkeeper André Luís Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Duarte in the 36th minute of the match. André Luís Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel da Costa in the 38th minute of play. If Acácio Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Grêmio Maringá's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Vieira came free, but André Luís Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Grêmio Maringá getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ricardo Félix hit a great ball. Duda Vieira succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Duarte was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Duda Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caibe's supporters rose to their feet, but Duda Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 played minutes Grêmio Maringá got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Araújo. Reginaldo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luís Dantas having to interfere. Ricardo Félix's late challenge caught a Caibe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Félix helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Grêmio Maringá got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Félix. Duda Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Gustavo Araújo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Duda Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caibe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Terra in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot by Samuel Nunes from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got André Luís Dantas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Abel da Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Caibe getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Abel da Costa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caibe's zone, Orlando Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Loureiro came out of the goal and Orlando Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caibe played a much better game than Grêmio Maringá and deserved their victory. The Grêmio Maringá players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
