The tension between the Pederneiras EC and the Limpeza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pederneiras EC's Cristiano Borges got a free kick in the 4th minute. Vinícius Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Alberto Andrade hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jairo Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Rômulo Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pederneiras EC's Zé Pedro Xavier in 35 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vinícius Lago guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Rômulo Brodel struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jairo Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limpeza FC. Limpeza FC's Nelson Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Favoretto during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Limpeza FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Favoretto. The Pederneiras EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Limpeza FC were winning 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Rômulo Brodel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jairo Pinheiro. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Dito Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Pedro Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Pedro Xavier in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st match minute, Pederneiras EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Geovânio Chaves hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Vinícius Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Xavier in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Limpeza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Xavier came free, but Vinícius Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Limpeza FC's Vinícius Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Pontes in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute Dito Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Zé Pedro Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pederneiras EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinícius Lago came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Pederneiras EC's Zé Pedro Xavier. But to his dismay, Zé Pedro Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Limpeza FC's Vinícius Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Xavier in the 94th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
