Franklin Urbano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Sussuapara FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 25th match minute, Baracaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Daniel Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sussuapara FC's Hélio Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Guerra struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Hélio Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baracaja. Cesinha Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Dedê Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sussuapara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baracaja the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Sussuapara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Teles to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Baracaja's Cafu Ramos tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hélio Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A collision led to Baracaja getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cafu Ramos hit a great ball. Hélio Abraão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Afonsinho Tepedino. After 57 played minutes Sussuapara FC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo de Amorim. Emanuel Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Hélio Abraão made a huge save. Edson Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sussuapara FC's Hélio Abraão got control of the ball when Emanuel Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cristiano Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hélio Abraão came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Baracaja's Emanuel Guerra. But to his dismay, Emanuel Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Daniel Oliveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Hélio Abraão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Ruy Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edson Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Urbano in the 88th minute of the match. Emanuel Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hélio Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
