When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alan de Castro sped through CSP ESPORT CLUB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laerte Perez. William de Godoi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. CSP ESPORT CLUB's João Munhoz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for River Piauiense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan de Castro in the 14th minute of play forced CSP ESPORT CLUB's goalkeeper Laerte Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CSP ESPORT CLUB's zone, Alan de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Perez came out of the goal and Alan de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to River Piauiense getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cleiton Fantini hit a great ball. Alexsandro Motta struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Laerte Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Piauiense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Pimenta during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CSP ESPORT CLUB's Aílton Pimenta got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan de Castro in the 27th minute of play forced CSP ESPORT CLUB's goalkeeper Laerte Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CSP ESPORT CLUB getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sidney Gonçalves hit a great ball. Laerte Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Motta in the 32nd minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Alan de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Piauiense and the CSP ESPORT CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CSP ESPORT CLUB booed when River Piauiense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexsandro Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eduardo Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSP ESPORT CLUB's protests and gave Eduardo Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CSP ESPORT CLUB's Eduardo Pimenta got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half River Piauiense were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Pimenta made a kick off. Magno Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the River Piauiense defense, Eduardo Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emílio Macedo. The River Piauiense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emílio Macedo should have stopped the shot. When Alan de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the River Piauiense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan de Castro couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 70 in the game by Alan de Castro from a close distance when the talented Laerte Perez managed to make a qualified save. CSP ESPORT CLUB's players were relieved. The corner ended in Elias Moura almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CSP ESPORT CLUB's Laerte Perez did a great save. Eduardo Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emílio Macedo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by CSP ESPORT CLUB's Germano Netto. But to his dismay, Germano Netto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Alan de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the River Piauiense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan de Castro couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the River Piauiense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CSP ESPORT CLUB.
