Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Fábio Berger started the match with the kick off. Alan de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Dias having to interfere. River Piauiense's Alexsandro Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Confusao AD's Luiz Fábio Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alan de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, River Piauiense's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Berger came free, but Emílio Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fábio Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Macedo was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the game, Alfredão da Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Confusao AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Piauiense the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Alfredão da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes River Piauiense got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Motta. Armando Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William de Godoi during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. William de Godoi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of River Piauiense booed when Confusao AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. River Piauiense's Emílio Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Vieira in the 39th minute of play. William de Godoi got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 41st match minute, River Piauiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes River Piauiense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frédson Lira who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Frédson Lira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but River Piauiense's Emílio Macedo did a great save. Alexsandro Motta might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tião Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexsandro Motta ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan de Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Confusao AD's zone, Alexsandro Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Dias came out of the goal and Alexsandro Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-1 became the score in the 55th minute when Luiz Fábio Berger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emílio Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Berger in the 60th minute of the match. Lauro Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emílio Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Tião Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan de Castro in the 69th minute of the match. Alan de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tião Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Luiz Fábio Berger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emílio Macedo. The goal made the score 0-2. If Erik da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95thth minute of the game Luiz Fábio Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Piauiense's Emílio Macedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The River Piauiense supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Confusao AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Confusao AD.
