Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tostão Batista started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Jinipabu's Vicente Tepedino got a free kick in the 7th minute. João Francisco Peres didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fundao's Tostão Batista shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tostão Batista in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Francisco Peres saved Jinipabu from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Luís Guilherme Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fundao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Pedro Augusto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilmar Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cacá de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tostão Batista came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Fundao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Batista couldn't finish the play. Cacá de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes, Vicente Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jinipabu and the Fundao players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Jinipabu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. When Gerson Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jinipabu's protests and gave Gerson Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. Fundao's Luís Guilherme Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fundao's goalkeeper Cacá de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Nilmar Maia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cacá de Almeida, 2-2. During the 93rd minute of the match Vicente Tepedino completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vicente Tepedino a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th minute, Vicente Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute of the match Fundao got a corner. Jinipabu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Válter Seco ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Válter Seco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Francisco Peres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
