An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Freire in the 8th minute of play forced Teresina FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teresina FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Teresina FC's Perivaldo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Freire in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Fiori Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabacas AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fiori Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evandro Félix hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Gaspar scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Furtado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonçalo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Perivaldo Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Fiori Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perivaldo Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Fiori Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Cabacas AD getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manfredo Diniz hit a great ball. If Fiori Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teresina FC's Perivaldo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Gaspar in the 42nd minute of play. Gonçalo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Furtado having to interfere. A collision led to Teresina FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Délio Velasco hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Evandro Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Fiori Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cabacas AD's Gonçalo Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Furtado made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Fiori Freire sent off a good shot on target. Evandro Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Fiori Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Gaspar in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséas Negri during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oséas Negri hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cabacas AD getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Vágner Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Narciso Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Luz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
