Gonçalo Faria's late challenge caught a Balsa EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Dionísio de Barros made a precise shot to the right of Mazinho de Lara. M.O.T.OR fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mazinho de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Gonçalo Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilson Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, M.O.T.OR fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes M.O.T.OR fc got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Meira. Mazinho de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionísio de Barros in the 42nd minute of play. Cícero Vander's late challenge caught a M.O.T.OR fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson das Neves was the one to do the kick off. After 60 minutes, Orlando de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the M.O.T.OR fc and the Balsa EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Orlando de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, M.O.T.OR fc's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Figueiredo came free, but Mazinho de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Balsa EC got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Vander. 70 minutes into the game, M.O.T.OR fc's Nelson das Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to M.O.T.OR fc getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Orlando de Almeida hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, M.O.T.OR fc's Nilson Favoretto got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rodolfo Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by M.O.T.OR fc's Nelson das Neves. But to his dismay, Nelson das Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nelson das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rodolfo Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, M.O.T.OR fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, M.O.T.OR fc's Mazinho de Lara got control of the ball when Dionísio de Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The M.O.T.OR fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Balsa EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
