Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luisão de Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. Erivaldo Prestes's late challenge caught a Macatuba EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Dendezeiros EC got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Prestes. Macatuba EC's Marcelo Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão de Brito in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Adrianinho Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macatuba EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianinho Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Campidelis got free with Guto Pena in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelo Viana came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Dendezeiros EC's Jorginho da Rocha. But to his dismay, Jorginho da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão de Brito in the 21st minute of play forced Macatuba EC's goalkeeper Marcelo Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Dendezeiros EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Dendezeiros EC defense, Walmyr Campidelis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guto Pena. The Dendezeiros EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guto Pena should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho da Rocha in the 29th minute of play. Dudu Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmyr Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Pena having to interfere. Marcelo Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão de Brito in the 45th minute of play. Cristian Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guto Pena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Walmyr Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Pena having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Dudu Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Macatuba EC's Walmyr Campidelis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guto Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Sydney Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Dendezeiros EC's Jorginho da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Dudu Arósio notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Dendezeiros EC's Guto Pena. Guto Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Macatuba EC's Dudu Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmyr Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Guto Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guto Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Dudu Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guto Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Walmyr Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Guto Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Paraíba's late challenge caught a Macatuba EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. Oswaldo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Dudu Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisão de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcelo Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Macatuba EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
