When Cléberson Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macoapani SC's protests and gave Cléberson Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Macoapani SC's Cléberson Arruda got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Nico Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Igatemi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Senna in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri Neiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Ramiro Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Régis Neto. Macoapani SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Igatemi's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Siqueira came free, but Yuri Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cauã Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico Mandrak to make the kick off. Macoapani SC's Régis Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Mandrak in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Ramiro Recife had to leave the field with a concussion. 54 minutes into the game, Otávio Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macoapani SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Igatemi the free kick. After 55 played minutes Macoapani SC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Barral. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Macoapani SC booed when Igatemi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olavo Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macoapani SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
