In the 72nd minute, one of Caruara SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caruara SS. FC Duda 11's Valdir Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Duda 11's goalkeeper Benjamim Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Vicente Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamim Maciel was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 102nd minute Valdir Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Duda 11 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
