The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson Quintal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Moisés Porto took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Zonta. Celso Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Moisés Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Philadelphia got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Baptista. Gilson Quintal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arthur Diniz. The crowd rose to their feet as Parurus EC's Igor Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilson Quintal. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. If Percival Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilson Quintal having to make a save. After 41 played minutes, Parurus EC's Marcel Salgado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilson Quintal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Parurus EC reached it. In the 43rd minute, Igor Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Paulista struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Celso Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Philadelphia. Celso Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Paulista in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Igor Penha made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Penha in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilson Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Igor Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilson Quintal. Philadelphia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After some careless play in the Philadelphia defense, Igor Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Quintal. The Philadelphia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Quintal should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Igor Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Donatello's late challenge caught a Parurus EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Philadelphia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Donatello to maneuver through the defense. Gilson Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Lara in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Túlio Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Gilson Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Hílton Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philadelphia's Gilson Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Penha in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Túlio Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parurus EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Igor Penha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Parurus EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Penha couldn't finish the play. Túlio Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Quintal having to interfere. Gilson Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Túlio Lara's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Gilson Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Lara in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Parurus EC. Arthur Diniz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gilson Quintal. 6-1. Parurus EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Philadelphia for a fine match.
