Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dênis Tróia made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 played minutes Desemboque FC got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Carioca. After a defensive mix-up in Desemboque FC's zone, Hermínio Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Gonçalves came out of the goal and Hermínio Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Pernambucano during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Desemboque FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Pernambucano. After some careless play in the Desemboque FC defense, Olavo Arruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Gonçalves. The Desemboque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Arruda in the 15th minute of play forced Desemboque FC's goalkeeper Naldo Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes, Délio Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pentagna and the Desemboque FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Délio Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Pentagna's Geraldo Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Tróia in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Dênis Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 34 minutes of play Pentagna's Délio Catarinense was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 35th match minute, Pentagna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Luís Paulo Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Naldo Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Paraíba hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Serafim Tinoco did an outstanding performance 67 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Geraldo Rodrigues in the goal. Luís Paulo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Gonçalves having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Luís Paulo Sena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Naldo Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Hames in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Luís Paulo Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naldo Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Pentagna's Olavo Arruda got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Tróia in the 82nd minute of play forced Pentagna's goalkeeper Geraldo Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Márcio Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Geraldo Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pentagna booed when Desemboque FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pentagna's goalkeeper Geraldo Rodrigues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Paulo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Pentagna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Desemboque FC throughout the match.
