The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Dieguinho Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TFPN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betão Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to TFPN getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cristiano Lucas hit a great ball. If Juan Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, TFPN's goalkeeper Breno Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Fontes. Carlos Fernando Martins hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cauan Cordeiro had several of the TFPN's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Breno Ceresso as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of TFPN booed when Velha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durval Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Figueiredo in the 27th minute of play. When Cauan Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Velha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Fontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Breno Ceresso. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Cauan Cordeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Breno Ceresso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cauan Cordeiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Breno Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Juan Fontes sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 41 minutes, Betão Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TFPN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, TFPN's goalkeeper Breno Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Fontes. Betão Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Durval Bezerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TFPN. Breno Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Sá in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão Figueiredo was the one to do the kick off. When Velha's Juan Fontes in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TFPN's goalie prevented a goal. Breno Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cauan Cordeiro went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Carlos Fernando Martins hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Jerônimo das Neves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Breno Ceresso. TFPN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 66th minute, TFPN's Dieguinho Pereira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Dieguinho Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Durval Bezerra managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when TFPN's Betão Figueiredo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 72 minutes into the match, Velha's goalkeeper Durval Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Figueiredo. 73 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Breno Ceresso. TFPN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Breno Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan Cordeiro in the 77th minute of the match. Durval Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Figueiredo in the 78th minute of the match.
