Artur Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eriberto França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Rubinho Loureiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pesqueirinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Maloka EC the free kick. When André Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Real Maloka EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Valladares couldn't finish the play. Real Maloka EC's Filipe Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pesqueirinha's Tiago Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Baiano in the 64th minute of play. Artur Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto França having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, André Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Maloka EC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pesqueirinha's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Real Maloka EC had won, even though Pesqueirinha had held more of the ball.
