In the 5th match minute, Cambe SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Pires was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and David Bueno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Bueno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Cambe SS booed when Arcoverde AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Turienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Jorne De Keijser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Arcoverde AD getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dadá da Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Dino Valeriani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 26 minutes, Gilvan Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambe SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilvan Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arcoverde AD's Klement Pazura got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tiago Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Arcoverde AD's Jorne De Keijser slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiago Pires. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Tiago Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Barral was the one to do the kick off. In the 65th minute, Horácio de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 67 minutes, Jorne De Keijser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arcoverde AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorne De Keijser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lino Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Barral scored 2-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Jorne De Keijser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If David Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marquinhos Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Pires having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Arcoverde AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Alcântara came free, but Cristian Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Mazza hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Cambe SS's Gilvan Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When David Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Arcoverde AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Bueno couldn't finish the play. Cambe SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Arcoverde AD's much stronger midfield.
