The referee ignored Inhuma's protests and gave José Augusto Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Inhuma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that José Augusto Jacinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Gabriel Vergílio was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Ibiara's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel dos Santos came free, but Tiago Gabriel Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, José Augusto Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inhuma's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franklin Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Inhuma getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Franklin Linares hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes Inhuma got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Moreira. Hernani Sá took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christiano Mandrak. Inhuma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Betinho Moreira went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ibiara's Tiago Gabriel Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Jacinto in the 35th minute of play. When Betinho Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Inhuma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Moreira couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Váldson de Lara got free with Christiano Mandrak in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcinho Pereira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Ibiara's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Betinho Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Augusto Jacinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felippe Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marcinho Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiano Mandrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Váldson de Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Mandrak having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson de Lara in the 62nd minute of play forced Inhuma's goalkeeper Christiano Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Gabriel Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Marcinho Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiano Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Pereira in the 68th minute of play. Wanderson Soeiro hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Wágner Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Inhuma getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Armando Coutinho hit a great ball. Sebastião Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Inhuma had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
