After having played for 10 minutes, Sidnei Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Indaiatuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidnei Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Monteiro having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Santos during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SouPobre Futebol Clube's Gualter Santos got a free kick in the 19th minute. Prospero Guilabertus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Monteiro having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match, Prospero Guilabertus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emílio Monteiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 24 minutes into the game, one of Sport Club Indaiatuba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 33rd minute Prospero Guilabertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Monteiro having to interfere. Gualter Santos was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Emílio Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Terra went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 46thth minute of the game Acácio Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Indaiatuba's Frédson Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Mello made a kick off. If Sidnei Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Prospero Guilabertus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Indaiatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Guilabertus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sport Club Indaiatuba booed when SouPobre Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidnei Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Yuri Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Terra in the 70th minute of the match. Sidnei Bittencourt's late challenge caught a SouPobre Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Bittencourt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Sport Club Indaiatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Indaiatuba's zone, Acácio Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson Paraense came out of the goal and Acácio Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Yuri Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Terra struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Emílio Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Indaiatuba. The supporters of SouPobre Futebol Clube booed when Sport Club Indaiatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Sport Club Indaiatuba failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
