After a defensive mix-up in FLAMENGO FC.'s zone, Luan Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Leme came out of the goal and Luan Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goes SS's Pedro Paulo Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Pena in the 14th minute of play. Goes SS's Fred Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Paulo Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match, Luan Lopes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jean Leme was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luan Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rômulo Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes FLAMENGO FC. got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Bezerra. 37 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fred Pontes came free, but Jean Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FLAMENGO FC.'s Jean Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save FLAMENGO FC. from getting a goal against them. Goes SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FLAMENGO FC.'s Silas Vergílio got a free kick in the 99th minute. Goes SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
