Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Corinthius EC's Gernando Severo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Douglas Corinthius EC's goalkeeper Mário Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Tavares. Cipriano Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Mário Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Bittencourt in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Severo in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro das Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliézer Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Álvaro das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Gernando Severo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Álvaro das Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Álvaro das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Severo in the 28th minute of play. Eliézer Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeu Bittencourt made a kick off. Genílson Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Tadeu Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tadeu Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Castro having to interfere. Narciso Macedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mário Castro. Douglas Corinthius EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gernando Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Álvaro das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Genílson Toledo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. In the 89th minute, Genílson Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gernando Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Douglas Corinthius EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
