Lagradouro SC's Deivid Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Severo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Trevisan during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lagradouro SC booed when New Life was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valério Seco hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Lagradouro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Simão came free, but Alexandre Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juarês Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Alberto Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Severo in the 83rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Juarês Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Alberto Travassos was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
