Porto Minas Clube's Fernão Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Porto Minas Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Duarte Senna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernão Azevedo. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Fugido EC booed when Porto Minas Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Sérgio Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fugido EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernão Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edu Cerezo succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Porto Minas Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Edu Cerezo scored to the left of an out of position Fernão Azevedo, making the score, 4-0. Fernão Azevedo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. 32 minutes into the match, Sérgio Veloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernão Azevedo. After a defensive mix-up in Porto Minas Clube's zone, Edu Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernão Azevedo came out of the goal and Edu Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernão Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Porto Minas Clube's Fernão Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Cerezo in the 69th minute of play. Duarte Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernão Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sérgio Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernão Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Monteiro in the 93rd minute of the match. Fugido EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
