Porto Minas Clube's Fernão Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Porto Minas Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Fernandão Furlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilhota fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tiaguinho de Andrade scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus Urbano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Porto Minas Clube's Tiaguinho de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateus Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Corrêa in the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Porto Minas Clube booed when Ilhota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. With his leg Mateus Urbano managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Porto Minas Clube's Tiaguinho de Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Gonçalves in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernão Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th match minute, Ilhota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Motta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ilhota's zone, Nicolas Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Urbano came out of the goal and Nicolas Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, Porto Minas Clube failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
