The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Hoffmann during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Hoffmann hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Décio Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Forset Sport Club's Fausto Lucas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jardel Mumbach came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Forset Sport Club reached it. A collision led to Forset Sport Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Juninho Viana hit a great ball. Válter Cardozo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luís Fábio das Neves firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Guerra during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Mumbach came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Forset Sport Club's Ernani Duarte. But to his dismay, Ernani Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Luís Fábio das Neves managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Moenda's Válter Cardozo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute, Henrique da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Moenda's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Duarte came free, but Jardel Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernani Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel Mumbach having to make a save. In the 41st match minute, Forset Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio das Neves was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Enéas Hermes. 44 minutes into the match, Forset Sport Club's goalkeeper Luís Fábio das Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Cardozo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalmo Bezerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernani Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Mumbach having to interfere. The supporters of Forset Sport Club booed when Moenda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Ernani Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Mumbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Hélder Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jardel Mumbach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Válter Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luís Fábio das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Miguel Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, Moenda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes Moenda got a freekick which was hit by Adalmo Bezerra. In the 84th minute, Guto Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Lopez hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Adalmo Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Luís Fábio das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalmo Bezerra in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Forset Sport Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
