In the 21st minute, Luiz Paulo Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Lucianos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Adilson Sousa hit a great ball. Patrick Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Messias in the 33rd minute of the match. Luís Fábio Cearense struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Patrick Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lucianos. After some careless play in the Lucianos defense, Dagoberto Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Lira. The Lucianos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Lira should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With a little luck, Nucleo de Sangue's Patrick Carvalho got control of the ball when Isaltino Messias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isaltino Messiass short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Patrick Carvalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 63rd minute, Davi Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagoberto Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renatinho Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucianos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Nucleo de Sangue had controlled the match.
