After 16 minutes, Gernando Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wêslley and the A.C.M FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gernando Teixeira hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. André Luís Amaral scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Hoffmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Magno Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute, Domingo Ihintza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, André Luís Amaral made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Wêslley's Antônio Hoffmann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Antônio Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C.M FC's goalkeeper Moisés Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Luís Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Antônio Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luís Amaral to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vladimir Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wêslley's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimir Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If André Luís Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomé Loyola made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by A.C.M FC's Emerson Viana. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Viana got free with Antônio Hoffmann in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Vladimir Loyola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wêslley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kléberson Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Moisés Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89thth minute of the game Kléberson Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C.M FC's Moisés Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Azevedo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over A.C.M FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wêslley throughout the match.
