Paulo Donato made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when José Augusto Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, José Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RATOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flaostentação the free kick. In the 9th minute, José Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If José Augusto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, José Augusto Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flaostentação's supporters rose to their feet, but José Augusto Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 17 played minutes RATOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Teles. Paulo Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. José Augusto Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. RATOS FC's Paulo Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Trancoso in the 33rd minute of play. Valdemar Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Sanches having to make a save. A collision led to RATOS FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fabinho Nascimento hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Henrique Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flaostentação's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Damião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdemar Barros was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute André Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to RATOS FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Passos hit a great ball. André Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Paulo Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, José Augusto Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flaostentação's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Figueiredo scored 0-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Durval Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafim Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to RATOS FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Váldson da Rocha hit a great ball. If José Augusto Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Paraibano in the 92nd minute of the match. Flaostentação were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing RATOS FC to leave the ground with a draw.
